This is the full raw footage filmed by some Japanese people on friday March 11th, 2011, during the tsunami which occured in northern Japan, following the 8.9 magnitude earthquake. According to the video, it was filmed in the Miyagi Prefecture (宮城) in the city of Kesennuma (気仙沼市) which has 74000 inhabitants. (Los Angeles, CA) – I was to meet (David) before he left on his trip to Spain. David was my rock, my best friend. The morning we were to meet he never responded to my calls and my inquiries to his place of employment led to the equivalent of being hit by a Mac Truck. My mother passed away from breast cancer 3 months prior so I hadn’t yet peeled myself off the pavement from her death. It was as if the whole world shut him out and dismissed my solo concern that he was “missing”.
A week and a half into the 24/7 search (I never slept) my boss said I had to make a choice, search for my friend or be at work 8 hrs a day. My choice to just search for David was based on that when I found him I could breathe again because without him – life didn’t make sense.

1000 miles, phone calls, flyers, and inquires later…a kind lady named (Marie) who was unrelated to the situation softly said…”Why don’t you see a Psychic?” I replied, ” NO! I don’t trust them. Only a few have that gift and I haven’t a clue how to research who does and who doesn’t.”
Marie smiled and understood. She said, “I have a friend named Cheri Mancuso. She’s special and you need to see her because she’s very good with missing person cases.”

Our session was brief but I knew there was no more to be said. It was like Cheri could read my mind thus shorting a verbal conversation. ‘Excuse me?” I said somewhat shocked.
“Yes, she replied firmly, “trust me, they will come.”
I sort of smiled back, and quietly left.
As I drove down the winding road from her home I thought to myself, “What blessings?!? What blessings could possibly come from this freakin nightmare?!!! My mother just passed away, now David may be gone too? What Blessings?”
But Weeks, months, even years later – Cheri was right (as I later learned she always is) Blessings did arrive by the truck loads, as well as a great healing.
Cheri Mancuso was the only human being who helped me on this missing person search for 10 days straight. She did so because she saw someone in desperate need of help and admired my commitment for finding a friend who wasn’t a family member, a lover, but just a friend. I will always be grateful to her for being the one and only person who stood by me during a horrific time.
She found David for me and helped me through the grief of his passing. I kept a detailed journal during the entire missing person search experience and the life altering healing after wards and one day I may write a book about it.
