In a crushing landslide win, Sarah Palin has won the popular vote at RudeOrStupid.com for stupidest person on the planet, beating out such noteworthy candidates as Brett Favre, Lindsay Lohan and George W. Bush. Not to be outshone by the former governor of Alaska, Victoria Beckham took the top slot in the list of rudest people Earth has to offer.
“We weren’t surprised by people’s opinion of Sarah Palin in general”, said RudeOrStupid.com’s founder. “But we were surprised that she beat George W. Bush in such a crushing landslide. He’s not even close. I suppose it’s just one more popular vote he didn’t win.”
While Sarah Palin’s triumph over former-President Bush is impressive, Victoria Beckham’s place at the top of the list of rude people, places or things is a bigger surprise. “We were puzzled by Victoria Beckham,” the site’s founder commented. “She even beat out New York City in rudeness. That doesn’t come easily. She’s obviously put a lot of effort into her attitude.” Perhaps shedding a bit of light onto the site’s philosophy, he added, “At least she’s not stupid.”

There has been an ongoing skit on the David Letterman Show called “Stupid Pet Tricks”.
It was an aptly named bit because the things people teach their pets to do are truly silly. Letterman did so well with that skit, he followed it up with another series called “Stupid People Tricks.”

These promotions that you get for credit cards seem to be playing on just about every tactic they can find to get you to take out yet one more credit card. You would think that the fact that credit card debt is a virtual epidemic in this country would let the credit card companies know that its time to get on the side of the consumer to learn responsible use of credit. Instead they do all they can to get you to have more, not less, credit cards and use them as much as you can.
We need to be smart consumers because as much as credit card companies try to make credit cards seem fun and happy and like big toys in your wallet, they are not toys. We should never forget that a credit card is nothing more than a way for the credit company to extend to you dozens of small unsecured loans that they will create credit payments on the fly to enforce through your credit card bill that will include high interest rates and additional fees as they see fit.

Good credit is one of the real assets any responsible adult will use to help make life easier and to make the necessary purchases in life. I’m always amazed by the stupidity of homeowners when they give their house keys to the painter & decorator that they just met for five minutes when he called around to do an estimate.
What Are Homeowners Lazy & Irresponsible About Home Security?
You might think I’m been a little unfair here but to be honest I’m tired of writing dreary articles warning homeowners about how to deal with tradesmen. They continue to give out their house keys, burglar alarm details and wads of cash to unscrupulous tradesmen without bothering to do there home work.
As kids we grow up hearing our parents telling us “Don’t accept sweets from strangers.” which is a bit rich because when you grow up you realize that your loving parents repeatedly gave the house keys to strangers.
Can you believe it, we’re talking about responsible parents here who probably hold down reasonably responsible jobs and yet they give strangers the run of the house when they go off to work.
Passports, driving licenses, creditcards, car keys & personal correspondence are generally left lying around for interested parties so why should we be in the least bit concerned when the painter & decorator decides to a runner with their savings and few of the processions?
I worked with a London company for over 30 Years in some of the most prestigious homes. My crew found guns, drugs, and explicit porn on a regular basis which was a clear indication of just how irresponsible some homeowners are.
When Are Homeowners Going To Grow Up?
It about time homeowners took some responsibility for their actions. I mean, if you left your laptop on the bar with your house keys and a bit of cash for good measure and went out side for a fag what you are actually doing here is inciting a crime. The same might be true if you left loads of goodies out for your painter & decorator. It’s not like you ran a police check to see if he had a criminal record or carried out a credit check to if his house was currently been processed.
So why not play fair, instead of trying to incite your painter and decorator to steal some of your belongings why not make a little effort and put some of the goodies away. Statistically it quite clear that you wont bother to check references, carry out identity checks or any other form of research so if you wish to avoid featuring on one those morning tv shows at least put some of the goodies away.
Conclusion
UK homeowners have to be the most stupid people I have ever met. The invite strangers into their home, tell them where the cash is and then head off to work without a care in the world.

7 Stupid Things People Do To Stuff Up Their Lives
How often do you see someone about to do something stupid and you just cringe. It seems obvious to you and you wonder why isn’t it obvious for them. The reality though is that we all do stupid things that have messed up our lives at one stage or another. That is the reason we are who we are today, we have learnt from our stupidity and the fact is that is why we can see and recognize stupidity in others. Sometimes people need to make their own mistakes, if for no other reason than to learn first hand. I think that must be one of the hardest things about being a parent: watching your child make mistakes you know that they’ll regret later, but being unable to stop them or talk them out of it.
So what are some of those stupid things people do to stuff up their lives so that you might be able to recognize them and hopefully avoid them. Unless of course your one of those who are destined to experience pain before you will actually learn from it.
1. Hanging around other stupid people. It’s funny how people who do stupid things are inevitably hanging around stupid people. They say if someone was to meet you for the first time and didn’t know anything about you but met the five people who are in your circle of influence. They could tell you where you will be in five years and the person you are. So if you want to be someone of substance then stop hanging around stupid people. You want to have people in your life who challenge you and inspire you in life. People who expect more of you then you expect of yourself to become a success in life.
2. Settle for what life dishes them. You know these people, they are the ones wondering around like the world is against them and have lost faith in life. How pathetic an existence that would be to just settle for less than what you rightfully deserve. There is a reason why only around 10% of people in the workforce will actually retire financially independent. Think about it we all spend a considerable portion of our adult life and yet many will be dependent on the government to provide them with an income during their twilight years or to at least supplement it.
3. They make stupid choices. We all live each day with a wealth of choices. Every day we have to choose whether to wake up out of bed or press the snooze. We choose how we treat so and so. Life is about choices but making stupid choices without researching can be immensely detrimental to your life. We choose to put caffeine in our system, we choose to smoke, we choose to eat a hamburger instead of the sandwich. They are all choices and if you want to change your life start by changing your choices.
4. Letting debt get out of hand. America’s debt is starting to get ridiculous. Households have embraced the easy availability of credit and have spent like the river of gold never ends. It does and it will. If you are going to live a life where you aren’t controlled by your debt then you need to start changing your spending habits. Don’t stuff up your life and be a slave to your money for the rest of your life trying to pay off your mortgage and debt. Learn to know how much you spend each month by writing it down and then decide if your income actually meets your spending patterns without touching debt. The most stupid thing is to see people with their eyeballs up in debt and losing it all when they lose their job or circumstances change. Don’t let that be you, get control of your spending today and get yourself out of debt.
5. They lose their dream. We have all had dreams but when we have a family all of a sudden it seems selfish to still pursue your dreams. So you put it aside and start to put your partner first, your family first. This is very noble of you but let me tell you that if you put aside your dreams and aspirations and lose yourself then you will feel empty one day. We see people all the time living for others and then one day waking up and realizing that they aren’t happy. Keep your dreams, share them with your partner and family. After all your all there to want the best in each other. Encourage each other to pursue your dreams and you will be a better person to yourself, your partner and your family.
6. They climb the wrong corporate ladder. A common stupid mistake is working someone where your don’t find any sense of enjoyment or challenge. You wake up every morning, battle through peak hour and settle yourself into a job that you detest for eight hours. I don’t know about you but that sounds stupid. You might argue that at least it puts food on the table and a roof over your families head. But if you are going to spend one third of your waking day every day for a huge chuck of your adult life then at least choose somewhere that you find enjoyable, passionate about and that you love. Don’t just climb the corporate ladder and realize after 20 years that your ladder is leaning against the wrong wall. Decide today what you want out of your job and commit yourself to finding it. That doesn’t mean quitting your job right this very moment.
7. They settle for the wrong partner in life. The person you choose to spend your life with can be a huge factor in how your life will turn out. I mean it’s someone you literally share a very large portion of your life with. Your partner therefore is someone who is going to inspire you to be a better person or they have the power to pull you down. They may not do this in an obvious manner. Make sure that the person you share your life with believes in you more than you could ever possibly believe yourself. They say all great men and women had a person in the background that made them who they are today.
