Leading Location-Based Dating Service Launches MeetMoi NOW App for iPhone, and Offers Free Drinks for 500 Single New Yorkers

MeetMoi, the leading location-based mobile dating company, today announced the launch of MeetMoi NOW for iPhone. MeetMoi NOW is a free application introducing always-on proximity-based matching, which takes advantage of the background processing capabilities of iPhone 4.0. The service is designed to find people dates, even when their phones are in their purses and pockets.
“The iPhone application joins our existing Android app to offer a paradigm shift in interactive dating,” said Andrew Weinreich, CEO of MeetMoi. “Not only does MeetMoi NOW find the people you want to meet in your area, it introduces you by making your profiles appear on each other’s phones. It’s fun and effortless — most other dating services require weeks of searching before you actually meet someone in person.”
Once downloaded from the iTunes storeTM, new members provide MeetMoi NOW with basic information about their interests in just a few steps, and then MeetMoi’s technology does all the work. Whenever two users with matching preferences are near one another, MeetMoi NOW notifies them both, allowing them to begin a conversation. To encourage face-to-face meetings when people are near one another, connections made through the service expire after 60 minutes.
To promote the launch in New York City, meetMoi is hosting a weeklong event called “Drinks On Us” for a select group of 500 single New Yorkers. From November 1st to November 5th, meetMoi NOW will introduce highly eligible men and women participants to each other as they are out and about in New York City. When users meet through the service, MeetMoi NOW will suggest a nearby participating establishment and arrange for free cocktails for the couple.
“MeetMoi NOW makes it incredibly easy to meet new interesting people when you are out and about. We wanted to showcase this breakthrough technology in New York City, where people rub shoulders with attractive people every day, but rarely make a connection,” said Alex Harrington, meetMoi’s President. “With the Drinks On Us event, making a spontaneous romantic connection has never been easier, because the first round of drinks is on us.”
To participate in “Drinks on Us”, users may register at http://www.MeetMoi.com/drinksonus, download MeetMoi NOW to their iPhone or Android device, and create a profile. Space is limited; those who RSVP immediately have a better chance of participating.
