As far as India is concerned, we are religious people. And it is on record that religion had been playing a most import role here. We have seen that originally we had been divided into so many groups, but we had been having one religion, but when the Muslims came and established themselves here, they started preaching their own religion and it is on record that they could convert a large number of people as Muslims and when some Western countries established their rule here in India they also started converting people and a large number of people turned as Christians. It is on record that some Muslim rulers had been demolishing Hindu religious places and had been establishing buildings of their own religion and it was done all to demoralize the Indians and their religion.

We had noticed that lacs of people had been killed and crores of people had to migrate in 1947 when Hindustan was divided into India and Pakistan and on dead bodies of these people two countries were established and since the dead people cursed the people, they could not live a peaceful life after this partition. We had been having direct and indirect wars and instead of progressing, we started fighting with each other and killing innocent people. Therefore, in spite of all resources at their command, the people could not attain progress which they could have attained, had they been at peace with each other.

We have seen that there are religions, castes and sub castes and we have also noticed that even friendships could not established beyond our own religion and matrimonial alliances had totally been banned. It is on record that even kitchen could not be shared and there are people who were not taking the food which had been touched by the lower caste people. And because of these divisions and sub division, India could become a nation.

It is on record that here in India some people are turning terrorists and some people are indulging in riots and both these wings are killing innocent people and now Pakistan, a neighbouring country has also started sending its terrorists to this country and thus we are noticing that a large number of people are being killed on both sides.

Till these religions, sub religions, castes are there, we shall not become one nation and that is the reason we are always living in disturbed areas. We do not know when there shall be terrorist activities and when riots shall break and that is the reason we are not living a peaceful life here. Most of our time, energy and resources are being utilized to control these terrorist activities and riots.

We are not coming forward to establish one religion in India and at the same time our policy of religious toleration and secularism could not succeed. These world and phrases are written in our Constitution, but actually we are not following these concepts in real life. Therefore time has come when scholars of all the religions in India may sit together and they must draw a common religious book and they must try to bring all the people in one fold. This is something impossible, but that is the only solution and if we continue with the present trends, we shall not be able to live as a nation. We have noted that our politicians are not playing a constructive role and actually they are dividing the people to utilize them for their own benefits. And till these divisions are there, we shall be facing difficulties.

Wikipedia defines a zombie as a reanimated corpse, but what is it that causes the zombie genre to reanimate itself every few years or so? These movies have thrived ever since George A. Romero’s groundbreaking Night of the Living Dead was unleashed on an unsuspecting public in 1968, and since then we’ve gotten sequels, remakes and “reimaginings” by directors as gifted and diverse as Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) and Zack Snyder (Watchmen). I think the appeal has something to do with the fear of death, specifically what death does to the human body. By the time we’re in our early teens, we’re fully aware that our friends and neighbors are all worm food, but at least we have the comfort of knowing our loved ones will be placed six feet under and out of sight. The zombie genre provides no such comfort – it takes the rot and the filth and puts it out there in broad daylight.

This theme is at the heart of See the Dead, Robert W. Filion’s stylishly filmed and satisfying zombie flick. (It’s even there in the title: “Look at these dead people.”) The movie has spectacular makeup effects, and one of the most fucked-up car accidents I’ve ever seen in my life.

The melodramatic opening scenes are there to soften us for the kill, much like Stephen King does whenever he wants the reader to gain his characters’ sympathies. An attractive suburban woman named Sarah (played by the singularly-named actress Vanelle) wakes up from a bad dream and walks through her empty house. She then opens her front door onto a strangely purple sky and a neighborhood populated by walking corpses. These are some vividly imagined zombies, with flayed, peeling skin and blood that comes out in a watery splash. The effects and Vanelle’s intensely committed performance create a rich atmosphere of dread that climaxes in one bravura shot of Sarah running down the street as zombies enter the frame from both sides.

Zombies always make for good social commentary, and Filion doesn’t hesitate to have some fun with wide shots of identical houses and dead-looking neighbors. Stick around after the end credits for an amusing shot of a zombie stumbling down his driveway. He’s carrying a briefcase and appears to be on his way to work.

Left With No Solution: Haitians Burns Their Dead

Around 200,000 dead, the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12, 2010 left an enormous damage to the country. Buildings collapsed, homes were totaled, and lives were lost. But infrastructure and survivor recovery is not the most pressing problem of Haitians today, but believe it or not it’s the corpses. It’s pitiful that one way corpses were disposed, was to burn them right where they were left trapped. One car, which smashed during the quake and got stuck in the rubble, had bodies inside which were already decomposing. The stench was already bothering survivors who are living in tents nearby, so they decided to just burn the car with the bodies when their call to retrieve it were rendered useless.

Since the devastation of the quake, there are no words to describe the everyday scenes that happen in Haiti. Background check shows how bodies are still continuously recovered from the rubbles and tractors are piled up with it. Bloody and odious, it can be a bother to those who have settled in the tents set up as temporary evacuation centers. On the days following the catastrophe, it was only food and water that were the primary concerns of the survivors. But later on, as death toll increased, dealing with the corpses also became a problem.

For some, burning the corpses maybe heinous; a sort of disrespect for somebody’s dead loved one. However, with their present situation we cannot blame them for taking such action. This too is hard for them. They’ve already lost loved ones, and now even the bodies of someone they don’t know have become their liability.

Burning the bodies, even on the streets, was not the only way they had dealt with the corpses. There were instances that the coffins were dug up only to place another dead inside. Burning became an option only when there was no other option left. The place already smelled of dead people everywhere.

It is a pity how these people have to suffer such fate, and how they have to deal with burning someone they once knew. For a moment there, we were all thinking that finding new homes for the orphans, as court records reveals were one of the highlighted problems to ensure a good future for them. With regards to the dead judging their present way of dealing with it can be horrible for many yet we have to understand the tough situation they are in now. They have been through a lot, and the least they need now is skepticism, which they do not deserve at all. What they need is help—from food to water to medicine. Even a simple prayer is already something big for the people of Haiti.

In Nigeria, road accident does happen frequently on daily basis because of substandard roads, over speeding, overloading, and sometimes greed. To reduce road accident the Federal Road Safety Commission builds road-bombs and installing traffic lights but that seems to be a death trap, as no one slows down at the road bombs or obey the traffic light.

Investigations revealed that the trailer left Talatan Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara state, Nigeria with over 45 cows and 54 passengers to Lagos state on wee hours of the night.

The trailer was heading to Dankano village in Zamfara state a root to Lagos stat speeding above 120 Kilometer per hour, due to the inability of the driver to read road signs he suddenly behold a very sharp bend, the driver lost control of the vehicle which lead to the death of over 23 people and 20 cows after somersaulting several times.

Findings proofed that the driver was paid to convey only the 45 cows to Lagos but the driver tries to make more profit as he created a setting space in the trailer and charged the passenger N1000 equivalent to , while the normal transport fess to Lagos state is N4000 equivalent to which seems to be a nice deal for the passengers.

Ironically, the owner of the Cows who goes on under the nickname ‘Manama’ surfaced the scene but did not show concern over the dead people, he holds one of the dead cows and cried over the deaths of his cows.

Eyewitness told that officials of the Road Safety Commission of Talatan Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara state, Nigeria came to the scene of the accident where they successfully conveyed the corpses to Talatan Mafara General Hospital in Zamfara state.

When contacted, the Sector Commandant of the Federal Road safety Commission Zamfara state Mr. Cheche Orji Kalu confirmed the accident. He said the relations of the victims would be contacted and those who they could not would be given a mass burial.

Mr. Cheche warned commercial drivers in the state to desist from over loading as it an offence, stressing that whoever caught with over load would be dealt with according to the dictates of the law.

To this end, who is to be blamed the driver or the passenger also what is behind it speed or greed, just as it has been said, “Africa is in a worry, but Nigerians are in haste and wants to become rich in a day,” the unfortunate part of it all is that Nigerians are rushing to nowhere.
